Experience kayaking on the gentle currents of the Somagawa River in Kōka City. Beginners can enjoy it safely.

In Shiga Prefecture, home to Lake Biwa, you can enjoy experiences on the water. Adults and children who want to try kayaking, please visit Kōka, the ninja village, before trying it on Japan’s largest lake, Lake Biwa.

Schedule

10:00 AM Meet at Kōka Tourism & Community Development Association (Kōnan) for registration
※Please show your reservation email (printouts accepted)
Proceed to the activity site by your own vehicle or on foot (approx. 10 min walk)
10:20 A.M. Change clothes (if necessary), life jacket briefing, kayak boarding/paddling instruction
11:10 Break
11:30 Resume SUP experience
12:00 End / Change clothes
   (Afternoon session meets at 13:00 and follows the same schedule, ending around 15:00)

Other Information           If the minimum number of participants (2 people) is not met or severe weather is forecast, we will notify you of cancellation by the day before the tour. (100% refund applies for cancellations made at the operator’s discretion.) This experience takes place in a gentle section of the Somagawa River. However, as it is a nature activity, we recommend purchasing insurance before departure in case of unexpected injuries.
