➁Interview
Please tell us about yourself, your work history, and why you want to work at Mountain Side Company.
③Hiring
We will notify you of the results within one week after the interview. If you are hired, please let us know your preferences regarding shifts, etc.
Staff Introductions
When I was a student, I began taking short trips on a touring bicycle. After entering the workforce, I purchased a folding boat and took up canoeing. Later, I taught water sports such as canoeing, dragon boating, yachting, and SUP at a facility on the shores of Lake Biwa, and also planned events. During COVID, I rode my road bike extensively to avoid crowds. After turning 60, I started as a guide for cycling tours, canoeing, and other activities in Kōka City. I’ve been involved in rice farming since childhood and currently work hard within the farming cooperative to protect local rice fields. This year, I’m cleaning up the vacant house next door to turn it into a base for my guiding business. I plan to open it as a rest stop and meeting point by spring 2026.

We started this venture with the goal of boosting tourism in Kōka City through activities such as cycling, canoeing, SUP, and agriculture. We hope you enjoy exploring various spots and experiencing its nature, historical sites, history, and local cuisine. For our guided bike tours, we plan routes primarily along quiet back roads with minimal traffic. For canoeing and SUP, we will guide you to spots where even beginners can enjoy safely. For agriculture, we cultivate rice in the fields visible from the Shin-Meishin Kōnan Service Area (Upper Level).

・Class 2 Small Vessel Operator License
