Kōka River SUP & Ninja Mizugumo (Ninja water-walking shoes) Experience
Beginner SUP experience on a gentle stretch of the Somagawa River in Kōka City. Plus, inspired by Kōka—the home of ninjas—you can try floating using a “water spider” (mizugumo), just like ninjas would use!

Experience content
In Shiga Prefecture, home to Lake Biwa, you can enjoy experiences on the water. Adults and children who want to try SUP, please visit Kōka, the ninja village, before trying it on Japan’s largest lake, Lake Biwa. The Somagawa River is perfect for beginners. During breaks, you can also challenge yourself to walk on the water surface using the handmade ninja tool, the mizugumo, or “water spider.”
